Covergirl & Maybelline Quad Reviews

Hey wonderful people!

How has your week been going? For me it has been non stop with work but thankfully I get to go home and visit my parents soon. I have been shopping lately (shocker) and wanted to give you some quick reviews on two eyeshadow quads.

I have the Maybelline Sandstone Shimmer quad. The colors are amazing for fall. Copper, chocolate brown, burgundy, and a white shimmer are what’s included in this palette. The colors are easy to blend plus the color payoff is amazing. Each shade is labeled how to wear it such as crease, lid, etc. but to keep life interesting I’m breaking those rules. Each shadow does have shimmer in it but nothing that’s too dramatic for a day time eye. There is some fall out but if you start with your eye makeup then apply foundation you should be fine.

A recent launch from Covergirl ended up with me buying a new eyeshadow quad. It’s full of different shades of grey and dark plum color. They are a satin finish but you need to apply more shadow then you regularly would. The color pay off isn’t that great it takes three layers for the pigment to show up. If you have extra time to keep applying shadow then the colors are very pretty. For a quick out the door eye I would skip on this quad. I picked up the shade Smokey Nudes. You can purchases these at your local drugstores for less then ten dollars. The grey shadows at the top of my arm in the picture below is from the Covergirl palette. What are favorite drugstore eyeshadows?

Love always,

Covergirl Outlast polish review

Hey everyone!

So sorry I have been MIA lately I just finished up with my finals. Now that my summer break has officially started let’s talk about nail polish. I’ve found a new line I’m obsessed with. These awesome polishes are called Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant.

I have the shades Peaches & Creme and Violet. I love how creamy and smooth they glide on. They have a high shine look and dry quickly. They are about 11 ml and they have a nice cap which makes it easy to apply the polish. You can find them at your local drugstore for about 5 dollars.

Covergirl also has a cute mini line called glosstinis. How cute is that name?! I have the shade Flamed Out. The range of colors is based off the Hunger Games movie. They are the same formula as the Outlast Stay Brilliant. These can be found at the drugstore for about 4 dollars.
